pasipaso.blogspot.com 年齢を重ねると、なぜ肌にシワが入ってたるんでくるのか。その原因に関する研究は盛んに行われ、線維芽細胞が老化して働きが鈍くなるためであることは少し前からわかっていたが、線維芽細胞の老化を促す因子は不明だった。それが御木本製薬の研究で発見され、さらに老化の抑制が期待される機能性素材（健康成分をもつ栄養素や成分）も明らかなった。

神経芽細胞とは、いろいろな臓器や組織の元になる細胞のこと。再生医療のスター的存在であるiPS細胞の原料とも言われている。肌では、線維芽細胞が真皮内でコラーゲンを合成して肌の張りとツヤを保つ役割を果たしている。また肌が傷ついたときは、それがせっせと修復してくれる。ところが年を取ると線維芽細胞も老化して現役を引退する。そこで困ったことに、若い線維芽細胞の邪魔をする面倒なお年寄りに変化してしまうのだ。

「ミキモト」ブランドの化粧品を開発販売する御木本製薬は、老化した線維芽細胞が分泌する成分を調べたところ、EREG（エピレグリン）という因子が真皮の老化に関わっていることがわかった。それは、若者に比べて高齢者の真皮に多く存在し、そしてコラーゲンの合成を抑制していた。

そうとわかれば、EREGの働きを抑えるものを突き止めればいい。そうして見い出されたのが「パールグリコーゲン」と「ヒシ果実エキス」という2つの機能性素材。40代以上の女性14人にパールグリコーゲン配合ローションを1日2回、毎日塗布してもらったところ、2週間後には真皮のコラーゲンの量が大きく増えた。ヒシ果実エキスについても同様の結果が得られた。

老化に関しては、その研究がどんどんピンポイントになり具体性が感じられるうようになってきた。線維芽細胞の老化が抑制できるということは、皮膚以外の老化にもなんらかの恩恵があるのか、と期待してしまうが、それはまた別の研究を待つことになる。

短時間のウォーキングだけでも健康に多大な効果があることを示唆する新しい研究がある。スタインバウム博士によると、1日の歩数を少し増やすだけで大きな健康効果が得られるという。

｢何もしないより、何かをするほうがいい｣ と彼女は言う。

｢ウォーキングが心臓に良い生活を始めるための最初の段階であるとすれば、その最初の段階こそが、持続可能で一生続く習慣を生み出すのだ｣

スポーツジムに行けなくてもウォーキングで健康な体に

アメリカ疾病予防管理センター（CDC）やアメリカ心臓協会（American Heart Association）を含む一般的な健康ガイドラインでは、週に少なくとも150分程度の適度な運動を推奨している。ジムに行くのも健康にいいが、ちょっと散歩するだけでも1週間の運動量にプラスになる。

｢適切な心拍ゾーンを意識して、意図的なエクササイズとして行うのであれば、ウォーキングはこれらのガイドラインに絶対に当てはまる｣ とスタインバウム博士は言う。

エクササイズとしてのウォーキングの大きな利点は、特別なウォーミングアップや準備が必要なく、まったくのフィットネス初心者であっても、どこででも行うことができることだ。

初心者の状態からウォーキングの習慣をつけていくには、ほんの数分から始めて、徐々にレベルを上げることが勧められている。

｢最初はゆっくり始めると、フラストレーションを感じることは少なくなり、上達も早くなる。重要なのはルーティンと規則性だ。毎日少しのウォーキングでいいので続けてほしい｣とスタインバウム博士は言う。

いい目標は、毎日短いウォーキング（数ブロックから始める）を6週間続けることだ。習慣を作り、継続する意欲を高めるためにはその程度歩けば十分だという。

運動習慣を最初はゆっくりと開始し、時間をかけて進歩させることは、燃え尽き症候群や怪我の予防に役立つと他の専門家も以前Insiderに語っている。

1日1万歩歩く必要はない…5分余分に歩くだけでも効果あり

｢1日1万歩歩くのが健康に一番良い｣とよく誤解されているが、それは｢歩数計｣のマーケティングに基づく神話である。今はもっと少ない歩数でも大きな健康効果が得られることが研究で示唆されている。

新たな研究によると、1日2300歩から4000歩を歩けば心臓病や早期死亡率の低下につながり、さらに1日500歩から1000歩を加えた場合、さらにそれらの病気のリスクが低下するという。

｢歩数は多ければ多いほどいいというわけではない。若い人なら1日2万歩歩けば効果もあるが、60歳以上の人なら1日6000歩から1万歩歩くのが理想的だと証明されている｣とスタインバウム博士は話す。

歩く速度も重要だ。

｢最も効果的な運動にするためには、心拍数を中強度のゾーンに到達させることを目標にして、集中して意図的にウォーキングを行うべきだ｣

強度の目安としては、息切れして会話ができないほどではないものの、ある程度の努力が必要な速いペースだということが分かっている。

運動を楽しく日課にしてモチベーションを維持する

どのような運動でも効果を得るためには、長期間にわたって定期的に継続する必要がある。

運動を楽しくする方法を見つければ、それは大きな助けになるという。スタインバウム博士自身も日中はできるだけ歩くようにし、自分が好きなダンス教室に通う時間を作っているという。

｢私は動くのが大好きだ！ 動くと元気が出てくる。好きなことが見つかるとそれは面倒な作業ではなく楽しいものになる｣

ある研究によると、エクササイズを社交的な活動にすることは、モチベーションを維持するための最良の方法のひとつだという。

月50マイル（約80km）ウォーキングを記録するトレンドと同様、TikTokのウォーキングチャレンジは、健康を改善するものだとスタインバウム博士は話す。

｢このTikTokトレンドは人々を動かす素晴らしい方法だった。人々に1日3500歩、月に80マイルのウォーキングを促し、心臓の健康のために私たちが何をする必要があるかを正確に捉えていた｣

　「KAT―TUN」の中丸雄一（40）が17日、レギュラーを務める日本テレビ「シューイチ」（日曜前7・30）に生出演。故ジャニー喜多川元社長の性加害問題を巡り、ジャニーズ事務所が提示した被害者救済案について言及した。

　ジャニーズ事務所は13日、被害者救済委員会を設置し、補償受付窓口を開設を発表。被害者救済委員会は元裁判官の経歴を持つ弁護士3人によって構成され、「被害者の皆様からの申告内容を検討して補償金額を判断することを一任いたします」とした。金銭補償の対象者については「弊社にタレント又は研修生（「ジャニーズJr.」等）として所属していたことがある方、又は現に所属している方で、故ジャニー喜多川による性加害の被害を受けた方」とした。

　また15日には、被害者への救済窓口を開設。ウェブサイトから必要事項を記入し、提出する。プライバシーには厳重に配慮し、申告内容は被害者救済委員会にて管理されるとしている。

　これを受けて、意見を求められた中丸は「まずは補償に関しての土台が完成しつつあるなという点では少し安堵（あんど）感がありますね」とコメント。「（被害者救済委員会の）メンツに関しては、元裁判官で現弁護士。逆にいうと、このポジションはど素人は務まらないわけで、“法を超えて対応する”っていうのは、時効とか証拠がなくても積極的に向き合っていくって意味だと思う。なので、こういった方々が知見があって、経験豊富な方、お金に対しても物差しがある方だと思うので、多くの方の結論が導かれるといいなと期待は持っています」と私見を述べた。

　MCの中山秀征も「誠意を持った対応をこれからも続けていくんだという表明ではないかと思う」と応じた。

　さらに、森詩絵里弁護士は今後について「ホームページで被害の内容を具体的にどういった内容だったのかと申告してくださいと。それによって補償しますということになっていますけど、被害の内容を書かないといけないので、過去のことを思い出すのはつらいだろうとは思う。ただ、法的に事実を調査して、額を決めていくという上では内容を特定は必要になってくると思う」と見解。「内容を特定させるということはどういう被害があったのかの情報が集まってきちゃうということですから、興味本位の人たちによって、どのタレントがどんな被害に遭ったんだと、詮索されることのないように個人情報の保護というのは事務所として、企業としてしっかり取り組んでいかなければならないだろうなと思います」と話した。

　これに、中丸も「最低条件として個人情報の管理、これは徹底しないといけない。人によっては電話は嫌だ、対面もちょっとという方にとってはこのホームページでの（申告）というやり方が最善策なのかなと思うので、大前提をもっていくのが一番いいのかなと思う」と見解を示した。

　SNS投稿について、改めて考えさせられた出来事だった。日本ハム・伊藤大海投手（26）が10日の西武戦で3回途中で6失点KOされると、自身のもとに誹謗（ひぼう）中傷メッセージが届いた。伊藤もこのメッセージをインスタグラムで公開し、投球内容を反省しつつ「言っていいことと悪いことはあると思います」などとつづった。

　このことには、新庄剛志監督（51）もインスタグラムで反応してファンに投稿への注意を促したほか、12日には球団も公式サイト上で「SNS投稿に関するお願い」として注意喚起した。この球団の発表の中にもあったが、今季開幕前には、NPB、プロ野球12球団、日本プロ野球選手会が連名で「プロ野球ファンのみなさまへ　～SNS等への投稿についてのお願い～」とする声明を連名で発表。昨季、選手や家族への誹謗（ひぼう）中傷などがSNS等で起きたていたための措置だった。

　今や球団だけでなく、多くのプロ野球選手が個人のSNSアカウントを持ち、情報を発信する時代だ。ファンにとっては応援している選手がより身近になっているが、ネット上では心ない言葉が投げ掛けられることが多いのも事実だ。選手会長の松本剛も13日のオリックス戦でお立ち台に上がり「活躍した時には激励に変えてほしい」と訴え、その後の取材でも「DM（ダイレクトメッセージ）を見ている選手も多い。心ない声というのは結構ある」と明かした。

　結果によってファンから厳しい言葉が集まることはもちろんあるだろう。それでも、当たり前のことだが、選手だって一人の人間だ。うれしい時には笑い、思い通りいかない時には悔しさをあらわにする。こうしたネット上での誹謗（ひぼう）中傷は野球界に限ったことではない。少しの思いやりが、大きな変化を生むかもしれない。（記者コラム・田中　健人）
